This mysterious little orange button on a website means you can have their website's freshly published information almost instantaneously on your computer.

Let's say you are an avid gardener and love visiting nurseries. You might choose to receive fresh information as it is published on a website such as Scenic Nursery. They have one of these little icons on their home page which means you can receive their freshly published information on your computer quickly and automatically.

The tool that provides you the capability to collect freshly published information from websites is called a "reader." It is much like your email program which collects email from various sources and lets you know when new email arrives. It is up to you to choose websites from which to collect brand new information.

A reader makes reviewing a large number of websites in a very short time possible. You can also use a reader to notify you of new content from just a few choice websites.
