ASID Releases Consumer Designer Guide
The guide helps ease confusion brought by the recent onslaught of reality design shows.

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) recently released "Designing Your Space," a guide to interior design for consumers. "What is interior design? How do you work with an interior designer? How do you find an interior designer?" the cover asks – and the guide answers.
"A great deal of misinformation is being communicated to the public by the television design ‘reality’ shows," says ASID president Anita Baltimore. "Armed with the information in this guide, consumers will feel confident that they are selecting the right designers for their jobs and that their new home environments will not only be beautiful, but exceed all expectations."
