Boston Globe
The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston will loan paintings by Monet, Renoir, van Gogh and others to the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art in Las Vegas for a seven-month exhibit that begins in June.
It's the second partnership between the Bellagio resort casino and the MFA, which currently has Monet paintings on loan for a Bellagio exhibit that concludes this month. It has drawn 400,000 visitors.
The new exhibit, entitled "The Impressionist Landscape," will run June 10 through Jan. 8.
The exhibit will feature five paintings by Claude Monet, including "The Water Lily Pond," three paintings by Pierre Auguste Renoir, and two late landscapes by Vincent van Gogh. In all there will be 34 paintings by 16 artists, including pre- and post-Impressionists. [End of article]
