School Uses Prints for Art Inspiration

Art is a big part of the curriculum at Edison Elementary, which has 58 prints of famous paintings hanging on its walls.
The Edison PTA raised money to purchase new frames for the prints, which were originally purchased more than 20 years ago as part of an art education program.
They've spent three years purchasing and selecting just the right frames for all of the prints. A painting with a western theme now has a rugged wooden frame, while a painting of a Madonna by El Greco has a more ornate frame that suits its subject matter. More…
Police Charge Another Suspect in Theft of Munch's Scream

OSLO, Norway — Police charged a second suspect Tuesday in the theft of the Edvard Munch masterpieces The Scream and Madonna.
Police said the man was in his 30s and that they were holding him for questioning.
The charge came a day after another suspect was ordered jailed for alleged involvement in the August robbery. More…
